Skrewball Spiked Ice Cream

With Skrewball Summer in full effect, we deemed it 100% necessary to share some of our favorite peanut butter whiskey/ice cream collaborations to help keep cool things… Because let’s face it, your ice cream is going to end up in drink form anyways when it’s all said and done, so why not set yourself up for success from the get go? 😉🍦 If you’ve been a Skrewball for any length of time, chances are you’ve stumbled across a Skrewball milkshake or two – but trust us when we tell you, that’s just the very tip of our ice-cream-berg! 👀Whether you like your ice cream with a little dash of espresso or maybe in banana split form every once in a while, we got all of your summer sweet-tooth cravings covered, (and very much spiked with Skrewball)! ☀️

SKREWBALL AFFOGATO

If we’re talking treats that eventually melt into drinks, it feels only right to start with a Skrewball affogato 🤤 This famous Italian dessert is enjoyed all over the world as a late night craving, mid day treat, (or any other time of the day really). That being said, you wouldn’t be sitting here reading about them right now if we didn’t feel the need to add a little Skrewball magic in there somewhere 👀To craft the perfect Skrewball Affogato, it starts with some frozen vanilla ice cream… And we mean FROZEN! If you begin this recipe with half-melted ice cream, your affogato doesn’t stand a chance, homie. Combine one shot of Skrewball with one shot of freshly brewed espresso, pour the mixture overtop of your two scoops of frozen vanilla ice cream in a coffee cup and enjoy ☕️

 🍦 RECIPE:

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1 shot espresso
  • 1 oz. Skrewball

🍦 INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Place two scoops of frozen vanilla ice cream in a coffee cup
  • Combine one shot of Skrewball with one shot of freshly brewed espresso
  • Pour the espresso and Skrewball overtop of the vanilla ice cream
  • Enjoy!

SKREWTBEER FLOAT

We’re not totally sure when or who invented the Rootbeer float… But it must have been in the summer and they more than likely deserve a raise 😏 This super simple recipe is a Skrewball Summer staple and is so delicious that you might find it lingering around even into the cooler months, (if you let it of course). Whether root beer floats are a seasonal thing for you or more of a year round indulgence, all that we ask is that you spike them with Skrewball regardless 😉 Never made a boozy root beer float? We got you! Simply throw all of the ingredients listed in the cup of your choosing and get to drinkin’ 🥤

🍦 RECIPE:

  • 2 oz. root beer
  • 1 ¼ oz. Skrewball
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

🍦 INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Combine root beer, Skrewball and ice cream in a cup
  • Enjoy!

MISFIT BANANA SPLIT

Yes you’ve had a banana split, but if you’ve never had a banana split drowned in Skrewball, are you really even living? Okay okay, “drowned in Skrewball” might be a little dramatic – We wouldn’t want to compromise the ever so delicate consistency of our Misfit Banana Split, after all! Out of the three recipes, this one takes by far the most work (especially when it comes to our homemade Skrewball infused caramel drizzle). But stick with it and you’re in for the boozy banana split of your dreams! 🍌🍒To get your Skrewball infused caramel, follow the recipe instructions listed below… It might seem a little daunting at first but we found it to be relatively easy once we got in there, (if you don’t mind getting a little sticky, that is)! Once that’s done, build your normal banana split, pour as much spiked caramel on that bad boy as your little Skrewball heart desires and go to town 😏

🍦 RECIPE:

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1 banana
  • (?) Skrewball
  • 2 tbsp. caramel drizzle
  • 2 tbsp. chocolate drizzle
  • Maraschino cherries

🍦 INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Make your Skrewball infused caramel drizzle using the directions below
  • Build your banana split using 2 vanilla ice cream, 1 banana, maraschino cherries & chocolate drizzle
  • Finish your banana split with the infused Skrewball caramel drizzle
  • Enjoy!

SKREWBALL INFUSED CARAMEL DRIZZLE

🍦 RECIPE:

  • 5 TBSP butter
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey
  • 1 TSP vanilla 
  • 1/4 TSP coarse salt
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water

🍦 INSTRUCTIONS:

  • In a 1-quart saucepan, heat butter, whipping cream, whiskey, vanilla and salt to boiling, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; set aside.
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup and water. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat. DO NOT STIR. Boil until sugar turns a light golden amber color and the candy thermometer reads 310°F.
  • When the sugar mixture reaches 310°F, add cream mixture. Beat with a whisk, cook until the thermometer reads 248°F. Pour the caramel into a glass container; cool 10 minutes
  • Drizzle, dip, and enjoy!
