SKREWBALL PUMPKIN POWER COCKTAILS

While the season of ‘all things pumpkin’ might start in September, it’s known to linger throughout the remainder of the holidays! 🎃 That said, it’s no wonder why pumpkin seems to be infused into drinks & eats alike everywhere we look this time of year, (not that we hear anyone complaining… 😉). If you haven’t played around much with adding pumpkin into your recipe repertoire, its versatility might just surprise you! With the all-encompassing pumpkin spice craze sending everyone & their grandma into a tizzy the second the leaves start falling, it’s easy to forget how complex of a flavor pumpkin is and all of the unique possibilities that come along with incorporating it into your favorite holiday entrees and sippers. Below you can find a collection of a few of our go-to Skrewball recipes when the season calls for a little  flex pumpkin power flex 💪🍂

PUMPKIN HOT BUTTERED SKREW

The value of a good Hot Toddy or Hot Buttered Rum in the chillier months is not to be understated… But don’t you sometimes wish they had just a little extra sumthin’ special? Our Pumpkin Hot Buttered Skrew takes that “little” and makes it “a lot,” but all in the name of good-hearted, seasonally inspired flavor! With just a smidgen of mixology magic, you can create this warm & cozy pumpkin cocktail that will have you praising the mighty power of the pumpkin down to your very last sip ☕️🎃 First, add a sugar cube, 1 tbsp. Butter and 4 oz. hot water into a mug and stir until fully dissolved. Next, stir in your 1 ½ oz. Skrewball, ½ oz. pumpkin spice syrup and star anise. Once complete, you can garnish your beautiful cocktail with a sprinkle of cinnamon & then she’s ready to be enjoyed!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 ½ oz. Skrewball
  • ½ oz. pumpkin spice syrup
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 4 oz. hot water
  • Star anise
  • Cinnamon sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Add sugar cube, butter & hot water to mug
  • Stir until dissolved
  • Add Skrewball & star anise; Stir
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar
  • Enjoy!

PUMPKIN PARADISE

Similar to our previous blogs of recipes past… There always seems to be at least one drink in the mix that poses a bit more of a challenge compared to the other cocktails in the group. We always like to throw a slightly more high-maintenance cocktail into the bunch for our die-hard mixology kings and queens out there – And yes, they may take a little more work. But I promise you, we wouldn’t include them if they weren’t every bit worth the trouble! To create the delicious Skrewball Pumpkin Paradise, you must first start by prepping your pumpkin cream of coconut mix. To do this, all you will need to do is blend together 15 oz. of pumpkin puree, 15 oz. of cream of coconut, 2 dashes of vanilla extract, 1 tsp. Cinnamon, ¾ tsp. Nutmeg & 3 tbsp. sugar. Now that you have your pumpkin cream of coconut mix, you can then combine the remainder of your ingredients into a shaker with ice & shake vigorously. Lastly, pour the drink (with the ice) into a glass of your choice and garnish with nutmeg. Seeeeeee we told you!!! Totally worth it 😏

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 ½ oz. Skrewball
  • ¾ oz. rum
  • ½ oz. orange juice
  • ½ oz. pineapple juice
  • ½ oz. pumpkin cream of coconut mix (recipe below)
  • Pumpkin spice

PUMPKIN CREAM OF COCONUT MIX RECIPE:

  • Blend together 15 oz. pumpkin puree, 15 oz. can cream of coconut, 2 dashes of vanilla extract, 1 tsp. Cinnamon, ¾ tsp. Nutmeg, & 3 tbsp. sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice; Shake vigorously
  • Pour cocktail and ice into glass
  • Garnish with nutmeg & enjoy!

PUMPKIN SKREW OLD FASHIONED

If there’s one thing we’re good at as Skrewballs, it’s putting a new spin on a timeless classic. And when the holidays roll around, we take that to a whole new level! Whether you view old fashioneds as a classic cocktail, a winter cocktail or both, adding some pumpkin pizazz into your mixing glass will leave you feeling a little extra festive ✨ Traditionally, Old Fashioneds are made by stirring, NOT shaking. However because of the inclusion of pumpkin puree in our Pumpkin Skrew Old Fashioned, we are going to recommend shaking your ingredients with ice to make sure your drink comes out nice and smooth! Simply combine all of your ingredients into a shaker with ice, shake, strain & pour over an ice block 🥃

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz. Skrewball
  • 1 tbsp. Pumpkin puree
  • ¼ tsp. Pumpkin spice
  • ¼ tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1 dash angostura bitters

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice; Shake vigorously
  • Strain into a rocks glass over an ice block
  • Enjoy!

BATCHED PUMPKIN EGGNOG

The holidays wouldn’t really be the holidays without the friends and family we choose to spend them with! Between the festive parties & Friendsgivings, it’s difficult to know what and how to serve larger groups of people, (especially when it comes to cocktails). Despite the strong desire to have a seasonally themed cocktail at the heart of your party, chances are you’re not going to want to spend your entire night shaking cocktails. And that my friend, is what batched cocktails were made for! But we wouldn’t present you with just any pumpkin batched cocktail… You’re getting the whole entire pumpkin baby 😎For this Batched Pumpkin Eggnog, the pumpkin is going to serve as your cocktail pitcher – Meaning you’re going to need to carve that puppy out beforehand to save yourself some time when it comes to prepping. Once carved and cleaned, pour a 750ml bottle of Skrewball into the pumpkin, along with two quarts of pumpkin spice eggnog. Add some ice and stir the mixture. After allowing some time to chill, serve into glasses and garnish with whipped cream & cinnamon. Not only will you have a tasty cocktail for you and your Krew to enjoy, but you’ll also have a beautiful self-serve pumpkin centerpiece destined to make it onto a few Instagram stories! 🎃

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pumpkin
  • 1 750ml bottle of Skrewball
  • 2 quarts pumpkin spice eggnog
  • Whipped cream
  • Dash of cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Carve 1 pumpkin and wash out the inside
  • Combine bottle of Skrewball, eggnog and ice into carved pumpkin
  • Stir & let chill
  • Serve into glass and garnish with whipped cream & nutmeg
  • Enjoy!

BOOZY PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE SHOT

The last pumpkin inspired recipe on our list is actually not a drink at all, but a boozy dessert served up in a shot glass with a spoon! These Pumpkin Cheesecake Dessert Shots are super easy to make and are truly irresistible to anyone with taste buds. Not only that, but they look freaking adorable if assembled with the proper care 😊 First, you’re going to mix together 4 oz. of cream cheese, ½ cup of pumpkin puree, ¼ cup of sugar & 1 tsp. cinnamon until creamy. Next, add in 4 oz. of whipped cream with a dash of salt and beat the mixture until fully incorporated. Then you are going to stir in 2 ½ oz. of Skrewball (or however much your heart desires). In a separate bowl, combine 2 tbsp. melted butter and ¾ cup of graham cracker crumbs until they reach a sandy consistency. Last but not least, build the two mixtures into your shot glasses, (starting with the graham cracker mix), by alternating 1 scoop of each until you reach the top of the glass. Pro-tip: Try to keep your layers as even as possible by pressing the graham crackers flat with every scoop you add. Once you have reached the top, garnish the glasses with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve with a spoon and enjoy your very own boozy pumpkin cheesecake! 🍰🎃

  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 oz. whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • ¾ cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 ½ oz. Skrewball
  • Salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Mix cream cheese, pumpkin puree, sugar & cinnamon until creamy
  • Add in whipped cream and a dash of salt; Beat until fully incorporated
  • Add Skrewball and stir to mix
  • In a separate bowl, mix together butter and graham cracker crumbs until combined
  • Build in shot glass by alternating 1 scoop graham cracker mix and 1 scoop pumpkin cream cheese mixture until you reach the top of the glass
  • Top with whipped cream & cinnamon
  • Enjoy!
