SKREWBALL SPOOKY SIPPERS

What’s one thing scarier than all of the Halloween ghouls, goblins and zombies combined? Not having a proper roster of spooky cocktails to go along with them, of course! As we begin to transition out of the summer season and into the fall, our taste buds have a tendency to pull away from some of the more zingy tropical flavors that we associate with warmer weather, and instead lean towards more complex, rich flavors that leave us feeling all warm and cozy on the inside! Now that’s not saying we want to ditch the light, fruity notes all together… But instead of relying on the trusty pineapple/OJ combo to beat the heat, we look more to flavors such as pomegranate, cherry and apple to keep things bright, but also to deliver a depth and warmth that we don’t usually crave as much in the summer. That being said, as Skrewballs we are still an innately festive bunch and can’t resist a good opportunity for some themed cocktails – and with Halloween right around the corner, we found it a fitting time to capture all of those seasonal elements and combine them into a few of our favorite Spooky Skrewball Sippers, to be enjoyed by you & your Krew! 🎃👻

POISON APPLE

Historically, poison apples are known for being both sinfully tempting and dangerously delicious, and this Skrewball poison apple cocktail is no exception! While this spooky sipper features similar flavors to our Vampire’s Punch mentioned earlier, the addition of the apple liqueur sends it to a league all its own. Technically speaking, the addition of the edible glitter is optional in this cocktail. However we personally think it loses 75% of it’s spooky sex appeal if you leave it out 👻👀

INGREDIENTS:

• 1.5 oz. Skrewball
• 3 oz. pomegranate juice
• .25 oz. apple liqueur
• .5 oz. lemon juice
• .25 tsp. Edible glitter

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Combine 1.5 oz. Skrewball, 3 oz. pomegranate juice, .25 oz. apple liqueur, .5 oz. lemon juice and .25 tsp. edible glitter in a shaker with ice

• Shake vigorously
• Strain into your glass of choice & enjoy!

PUMPKIN ESPRESSO MARTINI

Everyone knows October weather is best enjoyed with a seasonal pumpkin beverage in your hand – coffees and cocktails alike! This pumpkin espresso martini is a rich concoction of espresso, pumpkin syrup, coffee liqueur & a dash of pumpkin spice. Basically a pumpkin fanatics dream-come-true! This decadent blend of fall flavors combined with its smooth & silky texture is going to have you searching for pumpkin syrup in the middle of summer, mark our words! 😉

INGREDIENTS:

• 1.25 oz. Skrewball
• .75 oz. coffee liqueur
• .5 oz. pumpkin syrup
• 2 oz. espresso
• Dash of pumpkin spice

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Combine 1.25 oz. Skrewball, .75 oz. coffee liqueur, .5 oz. pumpkin syrup, 2 oz. espresso & a dash of pumpkin spice into a shaker with ice
• Shake vigorously
• Strain into coupe glass
• Sprinkle with pumpkin spice & drizzle with chocolate
• Enjoy!

VAMPIRE’S PUNCH

Sure they aren’t ghouls, goblins or zombies, but vampire’s still have quite the reputation… especially come Halloween time! Despite its simplicity, Vampire’s Punch remains one of our go-to spooky sippers and is a great choice for Skrewballs who like the option to dress up OR down their cocktails. With only three ingredients, you can keep this drink as simple as you want, or you can jazz it up by adding some dry ice– the choice is yours and both are equally as delicious! ✨

INGREDIENTS:

• 1.5 oz. Skrewball
• 2.5 oz. pomegranate cherry juice
• .25 oz. lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Combine 1.5 oz. Skrewball, 2.5 oz. pomegranate cherry juice and .25 oz. lemon juice into a shaker with ice

• Shake vigorously & strain into a glass
• Enjoy!
• Warning: If you choose to include dry ice, make sure you do not drink the dry ice directly. Let it melt into your drink fully before consuming
