You’ve heard it a thousand times…New year = new you. And what’s everyone’s favorite way to reinvent themselves, year after year? Ah yes! The infamous New Years Resolution. But from one Skrewball to another, what if we told you to Skrew resolutions all together? **Bum Bum Bum** Sounds a little nutty (we know). But rewriting the rules is what we do! 

Resolutions give the impression of fresh starts and new beginnings, but often fall short of living up to those expectations. That’s not to say we don’t love a good opportunity for some self-improvement. But in true Skrewball fashion, we don’t wait on anyone or anything to tell us how or when to do something! We are the black sheep, the trend setters, the masters of our own destiny. And I’ll let you in on a little secret…True change starts on your watch. What does this look like for a Skrewball, you may ask? The answer is simple.

Tip #1

First off, check your Krew! Are the people you surround yourself with ones you aspire to be like in some way or another? Does your Krew support you and challenge you to be better? If not, start looking for individuals who fulfill that role and tell the others to Get Skrewed. After all, a Skrewball is only as strong as the Krew they are a part of, so make sure yours fits the bill yo!

Tip #2

Second, know what it is that you want and go for it no matter what. Now this one might turn a few heads, but going against the grain is what being a Skrewball is all about, baby. Quit your job (maybe), move to a different country (possibly), sell your house and live as a nomad (why not??)…Whatever it is that you want, say skrew it and just do it!

Tip #3

Lastly, we know a blank slate can be slightly intimidating to say the least. But Skrewballs have never been one to back down from a challenge. Instead, look at this blank slate each day as an opportunity to pave a way for the life you have always wanted; One where you get the freedom to be the most authentic version of you, in all your Skrewball glory… We’ll work on the less glorious parts later 😉

Long Story Short…

Save your cliché New Year’s promises for the rest of the herd, you don’t belong there anyways. If change is what you want, embrace your inner Skrewball and go do the damn thing already.
