Staying true to our roots, we’re taking something you know & love and reimagining it in a way only a skrewball could 😉 So what’s on the menu for Mother’s Day Boozy Brunch? Keep reading to find out…

Skrewed Up Mimosa

Look, we know better than to F with anyone’s brunch mimosas… so to soothe the anxieties our more “seasoned” bunch goers, we’re tackling this timeless classic first. Whether you like a little OJ with your champagne or a little champagne with your OJ, be sure to leave some room for your new special secret mimosa ingredient: Skrewball 🥃🥜 And much like the OG, Skrewball Mimosas can be crafted according to your personal taste preference. Once you find the perfect Skrewball to Mimosa ratio for you & your momma, it’s time to decide on the juice. Keep it traditional with some orange juice or shake it up by subbing with some pineapple, grapefruit, apple, cranberry juice, etc. – whatever you want! If you’re feeling really crazy, you could even throw ‘em all in a flight and see which is mom’s fav. With a million different ways to customize your very own Skrewball Mimosa, it’s safe to say we’re not here to steal your mimosa… just here to enhance it ✨

RECIPE:

  • Add champagne, preferred fruit juice & Skrewball into flute // Stir to combine
  • Garnish with fruit (optional)
  • Cheers with Mom & enjoy!

Skrewball Candied Bacon

What’s beautiful, magical, delicious & accounts for roughly 75% of America’s diet? Bacon, duh! Bacon has stood the test of time and remains one of the most important pillars of breakfast culture. And brunch culture. And brinner culture. Whichever you prefer, bacon will more than likely have a seat at the table. And if you thought f-ing with people’s mimosas was risky, we’re now also f-ing with their bacon. So, proceed with caution. But with no risk comes no reward, (something Skrewballs know very well), and you gotta believe us when we tell you Skrewball Candied Bacon is THE reward of all rewards! To start, you’ll need to bake raw bacon on a sheet-pan at 400 degrees for five minutes. Remove the pan and coat the bacon with Skrewball by pouring directly on top of it and place back in the oven for another seven or so minutes. Once complete, remove the bacon from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes. It’s salty, savory, sweet & everything else you could possibly want in a brunch item, all crammed into one incredible bite. Who speaks such bold bacon claims into existence, you may ask? Try ur mom. Boom. Mic drop.

RECIPE:

  • Bake raw bacon for 5 min @ 400 degrees
  • Coat with Skrewball & bake for 7 more min, or until desired crispiness (please note: bacon will firm up after it rests)
  • Let rest for a couple of minutes & enjoy

Skrew Boring Syrup

Mother’s Day Boozy Brunch isn’t the time nor place to rehash the tireless politics surrounding the pancake VS waffle debate. But as any avid brunch enthusiast knows, the only thing truly capable of unifying both parties is the syrup. So, for the sake of mom, let’s just focus on syrup today 🤗 Don’t buy boring, store-bought, non-alcoholic syrup from the grocery store like you do every year… Make delicious, home-made, BOOZY Skrewball syrup from scratch. I mean it’s Mother’s Day for goodness’ sake, it’s the least you could do! Pour it on pancakes, drown your waffles in it, drizzle it over French toast, drink it if you want, we don’t care! Just be sure to make it with extra love 🖤🥜

RECIPE:

  • In a small saucepan, whisk together 1 cup water, 1 1/3 cup cane sugar, 2/3 cup dark brown sugar, 2 tbsp. Skrewball & 1 tsp. maple syrup
  • Bring to a simmer
  • Whisk occasionally and simmer for approx. 25 min (or until thickened)
  • Pour over pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc. & enjoy!

OJ Breakfast Shot

If you’re already a fan of our social media, you may have spotted this recipe on our page earlier in the year. When we first released the OJ shot, we had no idea how much of a hit it would be and were ecstatic to see our audience loving it as much as we do! And for that reason, we deemed it a necessary addition to our boozy brunch menu for all the Skrewball mommas out there 😇 Before we jump into it, we recommend preparing some Skrewball Candied Bacon beforehand, so your garnish is ready for serving when you are (recipe above). With your boozy candied bacon now resting, combine 1 1/2 oz. Skrewball with 1 1/2 oz. orange juice into a shaker with ice. Shake, strain, garnish & get as nutty as mom will allow 🥃🥜

RECIPE:

  • Combine 1 1/2 oz. Skrewball & 1 1/2 oz. orange juice into a shaker with ice
  • Shake & strain into a shot glass
  • Garnish with Skrewball Candied Bacon (recipe above)
  • Cheers with Mom & enjoy!
