Best Skrewball Mixers: Soda Edition

When it comes to whiskey and soda, the endless list of drink possibilities can be a bit overwhelming. Add peanut butter whiskey into that equation and things get even more complex! To play it safe and stick with a classic whiskey cola? To spice things up and order a whiskey highball? Maybe to buckle under the pressure of pure indecision and drink your whiskey straight? The choice is ultimately yours, but as professional peanut butter whiskey drinkers with vast amounts of experience (i.e. all Skrewballs), we are here to offer up a few of our all-time favorite Skrewball soda mixers in hopes of sparking some super easy, at-home-cocktail inspiration! 🥤

SKREWBALL + COLA

Ah the whiskey cola, a staple in the world of whiskey sodas. As long as there has been whiskey, and as long as there has been cola, the two have been enjoyed together. But what’s the one thing that every whiskey cola has been missing up until now? First name, peanut. Last name, butter. That’s what! It’s because of this, (despite its raging popularity), we felt it was about time for a proper PSA on the new & improved whiskey cola – the Skrewball peanut butter whiskey cola. People have been dropping peanuts in their cola since the dawn of time… We just took the extra work out of it for them! 🥜

SKREWBALL + GINGER ALE

Just because you don’t specialize in craft cocktails, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to enjoy a nice whiskey highball when you’re feeling one. Luckily, we’ve cracked the code on the perfect ‘lazy man’s highball’ recipe… You might want to write this one down. All you’re going to need is your trusty Skrewball peanut butter whiskey and a can of Ginger Ale, (you can also substitute the Ginger Ale for soda water for something a little less sweet). Mix those two together, throw in a lemon wedge if you’re feeling fancy, and you’ve got yourself a home-made whiskey highball! This drink is delicious, extremely easy to make, and sure to find its way into your whiskey soda rotation. 🍋

SKREWBALL + GRAPE SODA

The only other peanut butter duo remotely threatening to the peanut butter/chocolate throne, is usually agreed upon as peanut butter & jelly. It could be the sheer greatness of these two flavors, or the fact that the general population was raised on them that makes this combo so hard to resist… But either way, we need an easy-to-make PB&J beverage and we need one stat! And if you think making a peanut butter & jelly sandwich is low maintenance, brace yourself. This drinkable PB&J calls for only Skrewball peanut butter whiskey and any grape soda you can get your hands on. Combine the two, give them a good stir, and you’ve got the world’s easiest peanut butter and jelly sandwich, right in your glass! 🍇

SKREWBALL + CREAM SODA

Cream soda is a frequently forgotten and often underrated silent sleeper in the soda category. Its unique blend of flavors lends it towards a pool of equally as unique drink possibilities – One that we couldn’t resist dipping our hooves into! I think you already know where we’re going with this… Combining Skrewball whiskey together with a can of cream soda makes for a dangerously delightful mixed drink that will leave you pleasantly surprised and feeling a tad bit nostalgic. Maybe it’s just the Skrewball in us talking, but something about the marriage of peanut butter and vanilla (together in holy matrimony), leaves us feeling all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Give this one a try next time you are looking to shake up your whiskey soda routine! Wait, scratch that. Don’t shake your soda. 🤭

Don’t read too much into this being the last soda mixer on our list! We love us a good Skrewball root beer soda. Whether you’re adding a little Skrewball in your root beer or a little root beer in your Skrewball, both come 100% Skrew Krew reviewed & approved! We thought about leaving out this next part for fear of blowing some minds, but that’s a risk we’re willing to take. Not only is Skrewball and root beer a perfect pair on its own, but you can take things even a step further by adding some vanilla ice cream in there and BOOM!
