Regardless of your preferred snowy adult beverage, they’re more than likely best served hot & spiked with Skrewball… In our expert opinion 😌 Below you will find a Skrewball’s guide for the 2023 ski szn that will help you map out your vacation cocktail concourse. Whichever mountain you find yourself on this year, Skrewball + ski resorts is a match made in heaven! ❄️✨

CALIFORNIA

The California ski scene is generally known for its unusually long snow season, accommodating terrains and breathtaking scenery. But the list of wonderful things a Cali ski trip has to offer gets a whole lot longer when you find out there’s gonna be Skrewball nearby! We’ve mapped out our top recommendations on how to satisfy your peanut butter cravings and embrace your inner Skrewball both on & off the Cali slopes. Starting with some good news for all the Mammoth Mountain fans out there considering you can now find a Skrewball Reese’s Crumble cocktail and ALL FIVE bars on the mountain! 🗻 Dining in at Mountainside Bar & Grill, chowing down on some BBQ from The Mill or stopping in for a relaxing drink on a sundeck over at Steeps or Tusks Bar, Mammoth Mountain has something for everyone in your group.

Working our way towards the Nevada California border, you’ll find Heavenly Valley Ski Resort in the South Lake Tahoe area. While there are plenty of activities for beginners, Heavenly Valley also holds some of the highest peaks and longest drops in the region – Making some of the runs not for the faint of heart. With all that excitement comes the need to properly decompress after the last run of the day, which is where we come in! Luckily, Skrewball is easily accessible at the California Lodge, Tamarack Lodge, Lakeview Lodge and Steins. At the base of the mountain, we’re available at Basecamp Pizza, California Burger Company and McP’s Tap House Grill. However, a top-secret Skrewball specialty in Heavenly Valley can be found at Gun Barrel Tavern. Their “fight milk” recipe might as well be kept under lock & key, but you can expect something similar to a Skrewball mudslide.

Bear Mountain and Steamboat Springs also offer various Skrewball ski sippers around the resorts. Layback’s Bar on Bear Mountain serves a warm and toasty Skrewball spiked hot chocolate. Snow Summit has Skrewball at a handful of bars & restaurants including Hawk’s 52, Slope Side Speakeasy and Boneyard Bar & Grill. Notably, Big Bear Lake Brewing Co. has a famous chocolate porter made in-house and is often paired with Skrewball (mixed in or drop-shot style)! 🥃

UTAH

As the largest resort in the US, Park City Mountain Resort is home to adventures as far as the eye can see! Home of the 2002 Winter Olympics, Park City has hosted the very best and remains the site where six US medals were won. With world-class terrain parks and 7,300+ acres to ski, Park City has something for everyone looking for a thrill (no matter your difficulty level). Beloved for its exceptionally powdery snowfall and Salt Lake City views, this is one resort at the top of everybody’s list ❄️ Aside from the mountain itself, Park City, Utah is overflowing with activities that don’t involve high-intensity snow sports (a large part of its tourist appeal). One of the more historic bars & restaurants in Park City, Flanagan’s is known for its Irish comfort dishes, karaoke nights and their Skrewball PB&J shot special, of course. Next up, the Pig Pen Saloon features a Skrewball Cocoa Bomb (basically Skrewball Hot Chocolate’s sexy cousin from out of town) ☕️ They also have a specialty Peanut Butter Cup cocktail on the menu that has quickly made a name for itself. Other spots in Park City to find Skrewball include The Spur, O’Shucks & No Name Saloon.

COLORADO

If rugged terrain, breathtaking scenery and powdery snow are on your list of “must-haves,” Colorado might be just what you’re looking for. From Snowmass to Telluride, Colorado is famously known to be home to some of the greatest skiing and snowboarding conditions in the world! The high altitude makes for perfectly textured snow that densely blankets the diverse Colorado terrain. Starting with one of the most iconic ski resorts to date, Snowmass is the largest resort collective in Colorado and is home to the longest descent in the United States (as well as the ‘X-Games’). If you’re in the area, Elkmass is common Skrewball watering hole for tourists and locals alike.

Telluride, Vail and Monarch Mountain Ski Resort are other popular Colorado ski attractions where you can enjoy the snow and some Skrewball simultaneously! Poacher’s Pub in Telluride and Garfinkel’s in Vail both feature a Skrewball shot special and exclusive cocktail offerings on their menu. Steamboat Springs hosts a variety of Skrewball-friendly bars & restaurants both on and off the mountain. Keep an eye out for The Sheraton Hotel, Slope Side Grill, Steamboat Grand and Timber & Torch and their specialty Skrewball cocktails! 🤩

NEW MEXICO

Often referred to as ‘The Land of Enchantment,’ New Mexico is home to both beautiful mountains and desert landscapes alike. Aside from sight-seeing, New Mexico is also known for its infamous red & chili-based cuisine of burritos and burgers galore. When you throw skiing into the mix, a trip to “Land of Enchantment’ starts to sound very enchanting indeed. Angel Fire Ski Resort located in Angel Fire, New Mexico is a top resort among tourists and is recognized for its powdery snow and scenic views. It is also a prime location for sipping on some peanut butter whiskey, considering every bar at the resort carries Skrewball! Village Haus, Zia Bar, Legend Restaurant & El Jefe Restaurant serve a Black Diamond cocktail consisting of coffee liqueur, Skrewball and half & half, alongside a Snickerdoodle cocktail made with hot chocolate, Skrewball and a cream-based rum. We can also be found at various locations around Taos, so be on the lookout! 🏔✨

VERMONT

As the site of many world-renowned snow sport competitions, the Vermont ski and snowboarding culture is not to be underrated. Stratton Mountain Ski Resort terrain parks have been ranked amongst the top five by USA Today and have runs to accommodate both ski experts and first timers. Stratton Mountain is known as the birthplace of snowboarding and is a great place to hone your skills or maybe start learning some new ones 👀 With 99 runs trailing off one summit, there’s certainly more than enough space to practice. When you’re ready to unwind, Mulligan’s Tavern and Stratton Base Lodge have everything you need to get your Skrewball on! Aside from Stratton Mountain, you can also find Skrewball on Stowe, Killington, Okemo, Smugglers Notch, Jay Peak and Magic Mountain.

MICHIGAN

Many have heard of Michigan’s Great Lakes, but its expansive snow sports scene and luxurious resorts remain somewhat hidden gems, (a statement that past visitors eagerly attest to). Boyne Mountain Michigan is located in the lower peninsula and is said to be perfect for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. But part of the draw to Michigan are all the opportunities that exist off the mountain too. With indoor waterparks, mountain-top golf views and snowy horseback rides, a day on the slopes is just one of many options available to you and your Krew. Another enticing feature of Boyne Mountain is the buzzing night life scene! Snowflake Lounge has DJ’’s, dancing, live music and late-night bites. As if that wasn’t enough, Snowflake Lounge also hosts an annual Skrewball party, complete with swag, raffles and other prizes. If you’re just in search of a quick beverage, Alpen Hut and Après Ski Pub serve Skrewball spiked hot chocolate and other toasty sippers! 🥂

NEW YORK

Although the New York ski scene isn’t as widely known as those in Colorado or Utah, it’s a great option for those looking to dodge the overly crowded slopes, shops and bars or restaurants associated with other resorts. With lower altitudes comes icier conditions, which can pose a challenge for newer skiers and snowboarders venturing out onto the NY slopes ⛷ However, with good weather and proper conditions, you’ll still get those sought-after views and fresh powder you’re looking for to enjoy a winter wonderland getaway. If you’re visiting Mirror Lake Inn Ski Resort, The Cottage Restaurant offers Skrewball alongside a food diverse menu. Not only that, but their cocktail menu features one of our all-time favorite Skrewball originals, the Skrewball Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. If we’re talking Swain Resort, there’s an entire Skrewball specialty cocktail menu available – including a Skrewed Up Irish Coffee, Spiked Apple Cider, Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Shooter and a classic Skrewball PB&J.
